Well Maybe Not!

Oh and there was me waxing all lyrical about the spring....obviously I spoke too soon! Brr it's going to freeze over tonight and the sky has that weird orange colour when there is a lot of snow around. The snow was sharp needle shaped not like big fat flakes so that means it's really cold. Not that I really mind because I love the transformation the snow makes to the landscape. I don't think the birds enjoy it that much though...I went out this morning in my boots, dressing gown and a hat to put some sunflower seeds, oats and fat balls on the ground for them. I hope they weren't covered by too much snow before they had a chance to get at them. Saw a robin, blackbird and blue tits today.

What's New Here?

Well, let's get up to the right time of year now. It's Spring! Well, sort of. Apparently this is the warmest January for ages and it certainly feels that way even though the other day there were lovely ferny frost patterns all over my car windscreen. The crocuses are out, the catkins are out. The nights are getting lighter and the days are getting longer. The birds are starting to sing. Hey ho and a hey nonny no! Sweet lovers love the Spring!

I haven't got a decent photo to epitomise Spring that I have taken recently but I will post one soon.

I haven't posted anything here for ages so I thought I would update it now and what could be more fitting for a new update than this link to a post about Magpies or should I say "Wagpies"?!
